Ideal Institute of Engineering was founded in 2010 to promote in various ways the cause of higher education in Engineering in the state of West Bengal; for the new innovations and enhancement of the skills of everyone associated with Ideal Institute of Engineering; and to aid the Ideal Institute of Engineering in its development as a leading education institution. It is a part of non-profit educational hub that administers and distributes contributions made in support of the stakeholders of Ideal Institute of Engineering.

With approximately 800 students, 56 faculty members, and 70 staff members, we are one of the largest engineering colleges in the state. We are consistently ranked among the top engineering institutes and continuously innovate to keep our college at the forefront of engineering education. Our size and resources allow us to offer a diversity of educational and research opportunities that enable us to produce highly sought-after engineering professionals.

We offer degrees in six engineering disciplines and one management undergraduate program (BBA). We pride ourselves in strong interdisciplinary academic activities at the undergraduate level, preparing students for industry and research careers and awarding numerous degrees each year.
